Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions? We’ve got answers. Here are some of the most common things homeowners ask about our in-home consultation process, products, and installation.
Where can concrete coatings be installed?
Coatings may be appropriate for garages, basements, workshops, storage rooms, utility areas, and other suitable concrete surfaces. The slab and surrounding conditions must be evaluated before installation.
Is an epoxy coating the same as concrete paint?
No. Professional coating systems require more extensive surface preparation and are formulated to bond to properly prepared concrete. Standard concrete paint generally does not provide the same installation process or finished system.
Can you coat concrete that already has paint on it?
Existing paint or coating may need to be removed before a new system can be applied. Its condition, compatibility, and adhesion must be evaluated as part of the preparation process.
Do cracks need to be repaired first?
Cracks and damaged areas should be assessed before coating. Some minor imperfections may be repairable during preparation, but active movement or structural problems may require separate attention.
